An Artiste of renown, if not strictly visual...

A ‘variation’ perhaps of what is traditionally accepted as visual art, but art none-the-less is the lyrical, musical and digital art of iconic Australian song writer Paul Kelly. As painters provide their insights and inspirations with an 'artist statement' to accompany their work on the gallery wall, so does Paul Kelly share a verbal artist’s statement on this signature piece. I drag the guitar out every Christmas day, sometimes solely to play this piece?! It may just be words and music but the mental images and emotions evoked are as powerful a form of visual art as any... Just a personal indulgence to stimulate my creative thinking.
